Backorders and Preorders by BladeCrazy

Many times our inventory will show items that are either out of stock or haven't even come in yet. BladeCrazy.com is a unique store in that we allow you to place an order with us for out of stock items and items that haven't been released yet.

  1. What is a backorder? A backorder is an order for an existing item that is currently out of stock.
  2. What is a preorder? A preorder is an order for a new item that hasn't started shipping yet. A preorder will be marked in our system with a "Backorder" status.
  3. Can I cancel my backorder or preorder? A backorder or preorder may be cancelled via email at anytime prior to shipping. Once an order has been shipped, our standard shipping and returns policy applies. Depending on form of payment, a refund may be issued (see table of information below)

    Form of Payment Refund if order is canceled?
    Credit Card No refund is necessary as we do not charge for the order until it is shipped.
    Debit Card No refund is necessary as we do not charge for the order until it is shipped. Please note that with debit cards, the bank may withhold funds regardless of the method of processing by us.
    PayPal A refund will be issued on funds received via PayPal. A PayPal payment is immediate, regardless of the order status.

  4. How long can a backorder or preorder remain open? Backorder and preorders remain open in our system until they are shipped or canceled. Depending on the age of the backorder or preorder we may request confirmation from the customer that they still want the order. Further, because BladeCrazy.com does not store credit card information, if this information has expired, we may ask for it again.
  5. How accurate is the delivery date shown next to a backorder or preorder item? The expected arrival dates shown on any items that are out of stock are there as a preliminary indicator but may not reflect the actual arrival date. Arrival dates depend on manufcaturer delivery time tables which are subject to change on a regular basis. In addition, sometimes we have mutltiple orders for an item and if the first batch is already filled, you may have to wait for the next available batch for your order to be filled.

BladeCrazy.com reserves the right to cancel any backorder or preorder and will notify the customer accordingly.
